Built in 1895, it is the city’s only remaining 19th century hotel, perpetuating a unique Belgian character that sets the note for a delightful stay in Brussels. The hotel served as a meeting place for artists and scientists through the last century. The first Solvay International Physics Council took place at Hotel Metropole in 1911 (see picture).
