Precautionary Radiation Protection Act
scroll
The effects of the reactor accident in Chernobyl showed
that the acts and ordinances currently valid in the Federal Republic
of Germany in the field of radiation protection comprised only insufficient
administrative regulations for a nuclear accident abroad which affects
the territory of the Federal Republic. The Precautionary Radiation Protection
Act governs the responsibilities of government and states to carry out
measurements, evaluate the measured data and order restrictions and
prohibitions for the sale of food and other substances.
