PIME 2011

Venue

In its 15th year RRFM will take place in the city of Rome, where modern and old, past and present go side by side, all the time. The beautiful city is over 2,700 years old and has become one of the most popular cities in the world.

Rome is simply full of history, with an enormous amount of spectacular ancient Roman monuments located here, including the Vatican City, the Forum - from where Julius Caesar once governed ancient Rome, the Colosseum and the ruins of the Circus Maximus - where if you use your imagination, you can almost picture the 200,000 spectators cheering at gladiator fights and other barbaric sporting events.

Rome

Although this is a spreading city, many of the most visited attractions reside in the central area bounded by the Stazione Termini, the River Tiber and the Colosseum. The Via Marghera is where the tourism outlet named 'Enjoy Rome' is to be found, with the Rome Tourist Board being located on the Via Parigi, and the Vatican's tourist information office standing on the Piazza San Pietro.

In this capital the national preoccupation with the aesthetic fuses with incredible urban scenery to make Rome a city where the visitors feel cool just strolling through the streets, catching the sunlight on their faces outside a café.
