PIME 2014

16 - 19 February 2014, Ljubljana, Slovenia

Call for Contributions

In order to organise highly interactive and practical workshops, the PIME 2014 Programme Committee is now looking for contributions for the workshops on social media and crisis communications.

Social Media Workshop:

Effective community engagement is central to an efficient communications strategy towards the local community. Engagement means having an open dialogue and building relationships with local stakeholders.

Tell us your experience on how to use social media as powerful communications channels to engage with your local community and other stakeholders: How did you set up your social media campaign? Which are the areas you succeeded in and what are the obstacles you encountered? How did you manage to incorporate the use of social media on a local level into the overall communications strategy of your company?

Crisis Communications Workshop:

Communicating efficiently in a time of crisis is a subject of perennial importance for communicators. We all hope that a crisis will never happen in our business and most of the time, thankfully, it never does. But we still need to be prepared and to constantly rehearse and improve our crisis communications skills. That’s why it is so important to learn from the experiences of our colleagues.

Are you ready to share your experience of communicating in a time of crisis (real or perceived) with your colleagues? What does it take to be prepared? What is the most important during the crisis? What lessons did you learn?

If you would like to share your experience with your fellow communicators and prepare a presentation for one of these two PIME 2014 workshops, please upload a short abstract (300 – 400 words in English) to the PIME 2014 Abstract Submission System.

Deadline for submission: 30 September 2013.
