TopSafe 2012 provides a forum for addressing the current status and future perspectives with regards to safety at nuclear installations worldwide.

In view of the on-going discussions and initiatives that have been taken over the last months the European Nuclear Society (ENS) decided organising the next edition of this topical conference from 22 – 26 April 2012 in Helsinki, Finland.

TopSafe 2012 will focus on three main subjects:

  • Safety and related analyses in operating nuclear power plants and other nuclear installations

  • Safety and Risk Assessment

  • Trends in nuclear safety for existing and future installations

Attendance

The conference is directed at a broad range of experts in the area of nuclear safety, including professionals from the different disciplines involved in the safety of nuclear power plants, fuel cycle installations and research reactors. It is aimed at professionals coming from the research organisations, universities, vendors, operators, regulatory bodies as well as policy makers. Top level representatives of the Countries that are constructing new nuclear power plants are invited. Regulators of all individual Countries with nuclear programme are expected to contribute the Conference.

Deadlines

  • Deadline for abstract submission: 31 October 2011

  • Notification of abstract’s acceptance: 15 November 2011

  • Full paper submission for review: 31 December 2011

  • Notification of paper’s acceptance: 8 February 2012

  • Final paper submission: 15 March 2012

  • Deadline for submission of PowerPoint presentations: 8 April 2012

Publication policy

Conference proceedings with reference number ISBN 978-92-95064-15-7 will be published on this website.
