Thermoluminescence dosimeter
scroll
Radio-thermoluminescence is the property of a crystal
to emit light when heated when the crystal has previously been exposed
to ionizing radiation. In wide areas, the emitted amount of light is
proportional to the irradiated dose. For instance, the radio-thermoluminescence
effect of calcium or lithium fluoride is used to determine the dose.
