Cooperation for Higher Education on Radiological and Nuclear Engineering – CHERNE Workshops on Research in Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Protection NUCLEONICA is a new nuclear science web portal from the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre. The portal provides a customisable, integrated environment and collaboration platform for the nuclear sciences using the latest internet “Web 2.0” dynamic technology. NUCLEONICA is aimed at professionals, academics and students working with radionuclides in fields as diverse as the life sciences (e.g. biology, medicine, and agriculture), the earth sciences (geology, meteorology, environmental science) and the more traditional disciplines such as nuclear power, health physics and radiation protection, nuclear and radiochemistry, and astrophysics. Programme of Joint Research Centre of the European Commission JRC has developed a method for consolidation of nuclear knowledge. The Academy will offer both a comprehensive Nuclear Energy Management Program and a Leadership Cycle based on a theoretical and practical approach focusing on specific European requirements and specifications  (Economics, politics, technology, legislation, safety standards, certifications) ENSTTI – The European Nuclear Safety Training and Tutoring Institute In an unprecedented joint initiative, four European Technical Safety Organisations - TSOs (IRSN in France, GRS in Germany, UJV in the Czech Republic and LEI in Lithuania) have created ENSTTI, the European Nuclear Safety Training and Tutoring Institute. The Institute will offer short applied training sessions and longer tutoring periods for university graduates and for those with some professional experience in the nuclear sector. Its focus will be on transmitting European research and assessment know-how in the fields of nuclear safety and radiation protection. EMMI – The European Master in Molecular Imaging EMMI is an international program entirely dedicated to in vivo molecular imaging. Supported by the European Commission under the SOCRATES programme, this two-year interdisciplinary curriculum is brought together by prominent European molecular imaging research groups. Courses are held at a group of European partner Institutions: the INSTN (France), the Universities of Paris Sud 11 (France), Antwerp (Belgium), Crete (Greece) and Turin (Italy) European Synchroton Radiation Facility – Grenoble (ESRF) The ESRF synchrotron is an ambitious project that represents a very real technological, scientific and human challenge. In 1988, twelve European countries joined forces to create the synchrotron in Grenoble. Since then, seven more countries have joined the group. International School of Nuclear Law The International School of Nuclear Law (ISNL) was established in 2001 by the NEA and the University of Montpellier 1 and benefits from the support of the International Atomic Energy Agency. Its objective is to provide a high quality, intensive course of education in international nuclear law to law students at doctoral or masters level and to young professionals in the nuclear sector who wish to develop their knowledge.
