GRAND CITY TOUR

(Sunday February 10, 2:00 p.m., half-day tour in Prague 15 EUR/person)

GRAND CITY TOUR

During the Grand City Tour you will get a general impression of the “Golden City”, completed by walks and indoor visits. By bus, you will pass the State Opera, the National Museum, Wenceslas Square with the St. Wenceslas Statue, and then go all the way to the Prague Castle district. Here you will enjoy a walking tour, pass by the Archbishop’s Palace, visit St. Vitus’ Cathedral, the Royal Palace and the Golden Lane. Then you will continue by bus to a typical Czech restaurant in the city centre. The tour finishes at the Old Town Square surrounded by the Old Town Hall with its famous Astronomical Clock, Tyn Cathedral and St. Nicholas’ church.

KARLOVY VARY SPA

(Monday February 11, 2008, 8:00 a.m., full-day tour approx. 9 hours, price: 60 EUR/person, including lunch)

KARLOVY VARY SPA

This tour takes you through the picturesque West Bohemian countryside to Karlovy Vary Spa, which is situated in a beautiful wooded valley. You will visit the glass exhibition at the MOSER factory and then continue to the famous spa, known especially for its 12 thermal springs and both historical and modern colonnades. In addition to the curative waters you can also sample delicious wafers and traditional BECHER liqueur made from herbs. The tour finishes after lunch in the traditional restaurant “Krasna kralovna” in the town centre.

KUTNA HORA – UNESCO TOWN

(Tuesday February 12, 8:30 a.m., a half-day tour, price 30 EUR/person, including lunch)

KUTNA HORA – UNESCO TOWN

This half-day tour will take you to Kutna Hora, the ancient silver-mining town, founded in the 13th century. The town is full of splendid Gothic monuments. The walking tour through the town includes a visit to St. Barbara’s Cathedral with its valuable paintings and the former Royal Mine that once produced Prague groschen. The tour finishes after lunch in the typical Czech restaurant “Stara fara”.
