Nuclear Power Plant Niederaichbach/Isar, CO2-cooled, D2O-moderated pressure tube reactor with an electric gross output of 106 MW, nuclear commissioning on 17th December 1972. The plant was shut down a short time later for economic reasons resulting from the fast and successful development and introduction of the pressurized and boiling water reactor lines. The plant was initially transferred into safe enclosure. On 6th June 1986, the licence for the total elimination was granted. On 17th August 1995, all disassembly work was completed and thus the "greenfield" condition restored for the first nuclear power plant in Germany.
