Venue
Often described as the “gateway to the world”, the free
and hanseatic city of Hamburg is one of the most attractive cities
of Germany. Being both, a large city and a federal state (with more
than 3.5 mill. inhabitants), Hamburg represents the prosperity of the
northern regions.
Its vitality, its colourful districts and its multiculturalism
originate from a long maritime past that turned Hamburg into an International
trade centre. The Speicherstadt, an ancient brick-built warehouse
complex
and nowadays the historical centre of the hard-working port district,
reminds of former glory and fame. You find there an authentic
hanseatic setting where one can still smell the roasted coffee and
exotic spices.
St. Pauli and its Reeperbahn are known in the whole world, and
not just because here, the Beatles had their break through, namely
in the “Starclub” in
1962.
Hamburg offers a particularly high quality of live: A lot of green
spaces and recreational areas, the biggest average living space of
all major cities worldwide, a wide range of cultural events (especially
musicals and art exhibitions) and an aquaphil and philanthropic infrastructure
with more bridges than Amsterdam and Venice put together.
Conference Venue
The Sofitel Hamburg Alter Wall is located in the
heart of the Hanseatic city, between the habour and the town hall.
This
modern hotel has fashioned a new business meeting experience
in prestige hotel venues.
