Access VUB

The best access to ENC2007 is via entrance 13. Registration, auditoria A, B, C and D, research exhibition, will be inside aula Q, entrance “Mandela”, whereas industry exhibition, lunch and refreshment points are located outside in our marquee area.

How to get to VUB?

Shuttles:

From Monday, 17th to Wednesday, 19th, we offer bus shuttles from ‘Place De Brouckère’ in the morning (from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m.) and in the evening (after the technical sessions) from the VUB.

Public transport:

  • Metro:
    Line 1A (Hermanne-Debroux) and get off at “Pétillon” and then change to tram 23 (Gare du Midi), 24 (Vander kindere), 25 (Boondaal)

    Line 1B (Stokkel) and get off at “Montgoméry and then change to tram 23 (Gare du Midi), 24 (Vanderkindere), 25 (Boondaal

  • Tram:
    Line 23
    (Heyzel – Gare du Midi) and get off at Etterbeek station

    Line 24 (Schaarbeck – Vanderkindere) and get off at Etterbeek station

    Line 25 (Rogier – Boondaal) and get off at Etterbeek station

  • Bus:
    Line 34
    (Transvaal – Beurs) and get off at “Arsenaal”

    Line 71 (Delta – De Brouckère) and get off at “Fraiteur”

    Line 95 (Heiligenborre – Beurs) and get off at Etterbeek station

Using the metro to the stop “Delta” is not recommendable.
Please note that from Brussels city centre to the VUB you need about 30 or 40 minutes by public transport.

By car:

The campus is situated in the middle of main road junctions, giving easy access to a range of highways:

  • E 40 from Oostende/Bruges/Gent to Brussels

  • A 12 and E 19 from Antwerp

  • E 40 from Aachen/Liège

  • E 411 from Luxembourg

A free parking facility is available at entrance 13 in the parking garage next to Aula Q.

By train:

The campus is located right next to the Etterbeek train station which offers direct connections to the three main stations of Brussels: Gare Midi, Gare Centrale, Gare du Nord. A wide range of intercity connections is leaving from Gare Centrale (Antwerp, Gent, Louvain-la-Neuve, Cologne…etc.)

By plane:

From the National Airport in Zaventem, 20 km outside Brussels, fast trains provide a direct connection to Brussels Central station three times an hour. From there, you can switch either to a train to station Etterbeek or take a taxi (costs between 6 and 10 Euro).

Shuttle: Bus 12 (Airport Express Line) goes straight from Brussels Airport to Brussels city centre.
