Welcome Party at the ‘Kultuurkaffee’ / VUB
A place where normally students meet, debate and relax is the perfect match for the fancy and artistic opening event of ENC 2007. The outlandish ‘Kultuurkaffee’ with its sixties’ charm is the right frame for a jazzy cultural highlight: The Jef Neve Trio. This upcoming Belgian Jazz trio will start playing at 20:00. Afterwards an experienced DJ will smooth the audience with jazzy chill-out sounds.

Monday 17 September 2007 19:00 – 21:00h Welcome reception at Brussels Town Hall Brussels town hall is a masterpiece of gothic civil Architecture from the 15th century. Its outstanding tower is the most important point of reference for every visitor demonstrating the growing power of the Dukedome of Brabant in the early 15th century. The town hall is still the seat of the Mayor, but no longer of the city administration, which has been removed to blvd. Anspach. The visitor will be astonished by the richness of its interior. The remaining paintings, handcrafts and sculptures reflect. The local and national history of one of the most luxury regions of Belgium. The Welcome Reception is graciously sponsored by Westinghouse.

After the conference bus shuttles leave from 17:50 every 15 min. to central market ‘Grand Place’.

Conference dinner at Albert Hall
The conference dinner will take place at the Albert Hall, la Chasse, only 10 min. from VUB. The three original “Art Deco” premises and its extravagant décor make it a unique conference venue with the essential eye for detail.

Please bring your invitation cards!

Bus shuttles to Albert hall will be at your disposal between 19:00h and 19:45h. After the dinner we offer again bus transfers back to the city center.

On the last evening of our conference at the industry exhibition we will offer a post-conference drink. Buses to the city center will leave from 17:00h till 18:00h.
