Lyon, with a metropolitan area of 1.2 million people, is the heart of France’s second most important region.

Two thousand years of history have left their mark on the cityscape. Strolling about the different quarters of the city, you find yourself transported into a number of historical eras. Fouvière Hill shows evidence of Lyon’s power in the Gallo-roman period with its Roman theatre, the Temple of Cybele and the Odeum, and demonstrates Lyon’s devotion in the 19th century with the Basilica of Fourvière. Lyon offers an insight into the world of silk production on the ‘working hill’ of the Croix-Rousse and a prestigious renaissance legacy whose Florentine inspiration and colours dominate Vieux Lyon.

Lyon has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage for its continuity of urban development and as an outstanding illustration of city planning over the centuries.

Conference Venue

Between the Rhone and the Tête d’Or Park, the Cité Centre de Congres Lyon proudly shows its original and elegant silhouette. Flooded with light, transparent and functional, it is inscribed in the new generation of event environments and fully satisfies the expectations of users in terms of service. The Conference Center offers brand new facilities with 4500 sqm of additional exhibition areas, opened in 2006.

By Plane
By taxi it takes around 20 minutes to get from Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport to the Conference Center.

By Road
The Conference Center is situated 5 minutes from the highway bypass linking you to a Europe-wide motorway system:
- A 6 to Paris
- A 46 to Lille and Marseille
- A 42 to Geneva
- A 43 to Chambéry and Turin
- A 7 to Marseile, Nice and Montpellier
- A 45 to Saint-Etienne and Clermont-Ferrand

By Train
Lyon is served by the TGV High-speed train. The Cristalis C1 Bus Service offers a frequent shuttle service directly from the Part-Dieu train station to the Conference Center.

By Public Transport
The Conference Center is served by the Cristalis C1 Bus Service from the Vivier Merle. This shuttle service is convient to use from all Conference Hotels in the Part Dieu area.
