  1. TVO

    Teollisuuden Voima Oyj is a non-listed public company founded in 1969 to produce electricity for its shareholders at cost price. The company owns and operates two nuclear power plant units, Olkiluoto 1 and Olkiluoto 2 (OL1 and OL2) at Olkiluoto in Eurajoki. TVO is also a shareholder in the Meri-Pori coal-fired power plant. A third nuclear power plant unit (OL3) is under construction at Olkiluoto.

  2. Possiva Oy

    Posiva Oy is an expert organisation responsible for the final disposal of spent nuclear fuel of the owners. Posiva has been established in 1995. Posiva is owned by Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (60%) and Fortum Power & Heat Oy (40%), both of which share the cost of nuclear waste management. Additionally, the organisation is responsible for research into the final disposal of spent nuclear fuel of the owners and for the construction, operation and eventual decommissioning and dismantling of the final disposal facility. Posiva provides also expert nuclear waste management services to its owners and other customers.

  3. Fennovoima

    Finland's third nuclear power company Fennovoima was founded in 2007. Fennovoima will build its Hanhikivi 1 nuclear power plant in Northern Finland.

  4. FORTUM

    Fortum’s operations focus on the Nordic countries, Russia, Poland and the Baltics. In the future, the integrating European and fast-growing Asian energy markets provide additional growth opportunities. In 2012, Fortum’s sales totalled EUR 6.2 billion and comparable operating profit was EUR 1.7 billion.

  5. STUK

    Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority in Finland (STUK). There are about 360 STUK professionals at the service. The objective is to keep the environment free from radioactive substances and protect Finns so they would be exposed to radiation as little as possible, whether it is natural radiation or whether the radiation is caused by man.
