Paul Scherrer Institute, Villingen
The Paul Scherrer Institute, PSI, is the largest research centre for natural and engineering sciences within Switzerland. We perform world-class research in three main subject areas: Structure of Matter; Energy and the Environment; and Human Health.
PhD Program in Natural and Engineering Sciences at Paul Scherrer Institute
PSI provides interesting research projects in the natural and engineering sciences in a stimulating environment. The doctoral programmes we offer provide outstanding educational and research possibilities through the concerted cooperation of PSI with technical and general universities in Switzerland and abroad. A clear scientific concentration is as important to us at the definition of a PhD topic as is the dovetailing of individual project topics within PSI. Working on common themes and having close cooperation between the doctoral students in a scientific team will result in real added scientific value.
